I'm 20-20. which is great way of saying that I'm on the far side of 40 (yep, downhill all the way from now on) and
I live in the UK.
Physically I'm 5'
8", 150lbs, with brown eyes & brown hair - the bits that aren't greying
that is.
Mentally I think I'm fairly sound apart from wanting to rule the
world of course ... actually what I really want to do is win the
Lottery and then hire someone else to do the ruling bit while
I mess around and have a good time :-)
I started doing photography about
15 years ago when a friend persuaded me to buy a Pentax ME Super. I
shot an awful lot of film over the years, but always found it
limiting because of the difficulties of post-processing and printing
film (not to mention the cost). I got my first digital camera about
5 years ago, a Kodak 1.2M pixel DCS120. I rapidly found I was using
the digital camera in preference to my SLR, even in situations where
the SLR (by then a Canon EOS100) would have been better because of
the sheer convenience of digital pictures. About 5 years ago I
took the plunge and bought a digital SLR, a Canon D30 but kept the
EOS100 film body just in case it didn't work out. I never used the
film body again, the D30 was that good! When the 10D came out I
traded the D30 and EOS100 bodies for it. I'm now totally committed
to digital photography.
Most photographer's specialise in a particular area.
I favour sports/event photography, especially equestrian events. I
love working with horses and do ride myself.
I cover a variety of events and have the facilities
to do on-site printing if required.
